Chantal Kasongo
Shiloh Place Orphanage is the realization of the dream of Chantal Kasongo, who was born and raised in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Chantal grew up in a large family and became compassionately concerned about the children in her community, including those that had become orphaned and destitute after losing one or more of their parents to the all too common diseases that continue to ravage Africa.
What began as Chantal’s concern for children, in time turned to resolve. The vision of creating a safe and loving educational environment where children could grow and learn became a driving force in her life. Through hard work and dedication to her dream, Chantal’s vision began to inform her life’s decisions. Chantal commenced studies in administration and became aware that with greater opportunity to earn and save, she could realize her dream at an accelerated pace if she relocated and worked from Canada.

L’orphelinat Silo Place est une réalisation du rêve de Chantal Kasongo, née et élevée à Lubumbashi, en République démocratique du Congo (RDC). Chantal a grandi dans une grande famille et s’est inquiétée avec compassion pour les enfants de sa communauté, y compris ceux qui étaient devenus orphelins et démunis après avoir perdu leurs parents.
Ce qui a commencé comme le souci de Chantal pour les enfants, avec le temps, s’est transformé en solution. La vision de créer un environnement éducatif sûr et aimant où les enfants pourraient grandir et apprendre est devenue une force motrice dans sa vie. Grâce au travail acharné et au dévouement à son rêve, la vision de Chantal a commencé à éclairer ses décisions de vie. Chantal a commencé des études en administration et a pris conscience qu’avec une plus grande opportunité de gagner et d’épargner, elle pourrait réaliser son rêve à un rythme accéléré si elle déménageait au Canada.
